The council and the local greenies wanted to close the beach off to all 4x4's etc. In response to this we formed a beach warden group, all they needed was a sign saying beach warden a hyviz a camera and a cellphone, the idea is to educate the beach uses so we handed out info sheets. The other thing was to put up plenty of signage. To date it has worked very well, we no longer have the problem as badly as before. The law also requires all vehicals to be registered so the cuts out the motocross type bikes.
