    Hi All

Interesting to see an Enviromental Scientist on tonights news saying. There is no real risk from the 21 Containers which hold 490 tonnes of Cryolite.

Cryolite is used in its soluble form as a Pesticide and Insectiside.(Do a Google) But its okay says the scientist, it is not that soluble and will only enter the system slowly as it dissolves into the Ocean.

Where it becomes Fluoride, yep folks the poison that stops Tooth Decay.

So BOP fish will have no problem with tooth decay.

However it kills bugs and other organisims by being ingested. So what will it do to fish.

Seems to me we are not being told the truth.
Is MAF catching fish in the vicinity of the Rena and testing them for harmful chemical residues in their system. Well not that I have heard.

Its all okay say the authorities. I tend to think they are playing down what is potentually a major problem.

And yep the containers are all in the hold that is flooded. Water in means water out. Buts its okay they are wrapped in plastic bags, one tonne per bag.

GNS the Govt Earthquake people were forbidden from releasing data which indicated ChCh would receive another large quake, which of course occurred, with major loss of life.

The reason. The Govt did not want to alarm the Public.

BOP people. I would be asking questions. 490 tonne is a lot of toxic stuff.

Not scaremongering. Just saying it as I see it.

    Cheers Hardy aka Trev
