Im going to head out shortly and give them a crack, conditions are not favourable, but when the water clears it will be epic around here. Much like the run of snapper we had, if you sit back and think one day I will get one.... it may take some time, maybe a lifetime before you get a decent one. But if you have been wanting to chase the green backed buggers around, then its time to get off the couch and make it happen as the run is about to begin. I have seen large numbers in the boat, divers have been shooting a few as well as dory, water is warming, and the bait fish are thriving. If kingfish is one of your goals start making plans. You tend to get the bigger fish early in December, then through January the rats come in and take over untill late feb march.
