Kia ora tātau, I have been a frequent watcher and learner of the SFMB whānau for a few seasons now. I would like to thank the many tips and facts that these well experienced, talented and skilled fisherman have shared with us over the seasons. With the wondering and asking if there are fish in the moana, just to be assured that it's not the equipment it's that way that you are using it . So.... for the Garyk's, Chads, Racepics and many of the other SFMB moderators and enthusiasts out there who have shared their wisdom with not only me but with the rest of SFMB whānau. I thank you.

Now with formalities over, I would like to introduce myself. I am a greenhorn on the surfcasting scene. I've been fishing all of my walking days, but have only taken on the passion over the last couple of years. My name is Jemasin (Jem) Te Huia, I am a 34yr old Māori male who grew up in the capital of Hawkes Bay, Pakipaki . As I have said earlier, I have been following this board for a few seasons now; the only reason why I have decided to register and login now is because of the fact that my fathers name has come on to this forum. Ko Paratene Te Huia tōku matua (Paratene Te Huia is my father) and I would like to say that everything that is published by the gutless MAGGIEOOPS in today's HB Today is incorrect. My father is more than happy to speak with anybody wanting to know the correct version. So don't hesitate to talk to him. He lives on the other-side of the bridge up on the hill. We speak frequently and we were talking about the many fisherman who have their concerns about the gate. If you talk with him he will assure you that we are also fish enthusiasts.
Anyway whānau.... please don't believe what you read in the newspaper is always true, but what is actually written on this forum should be true. In saying that, people talking about some sizes of fish that got away are questionable (no offense meant ).

If you want to know the truth ask the right person. Speculation is assumptions wife.

Oh... and Chad, you do know what you were talking about. Text me when you come back to Hastings.

    Jem
