    Heaviest fish for this competition 30,000 dollars. Average weight is a bonus,and gives every competitor that weighs a snapper over the qualifying size a chance to win there share of a massive prize pool 250,000!(10,000 dollars average weight snapper). The organisers sent every competitor of last years competition a survey form and over whelmingly the contestants liked the idea of the average weight prize( to continue on) ,and i guess from a sponsors point of view it gets those anglers back to the daily weighin and prizegiving to push there products, which as a sponsor of contests phill im sure youd appreciate this. Contestants also have a chance at daily spot prizes like iceytec bins jammed with goodies, rods/ reels, more cash and go in the draw for major spot prizes of a mitsbishi triton 4x4 truck, aswell as a trip to fiji. Damm its worth buying a ticket for spot prizes alone!. Dont make excusses why you feel you cannot go. Do it, and turn it into an annual getaway, a chance to meet new friends and catchup with old 1z, and drink some smoothstuff on the beach(Eh frosty). Please be very aware that the Snapper classic is likely to fall over with lack of support from locals and out of towners that have been burned by the organisers of the classic competition. Do not confuse this with the organisers of the new Snapper Bonanza competition. Tightlines, and for those going best of luck, ill see you there!.
