    Trouble is that beach is a well known tourist holiday destination. To fish there over summer is pointless as your battling swimmers, surfers, it is not a very long beach at all, shallow in close but has a sandbar running across the bay (hence the surfers). At night is the best time if fishing during the summer months there.
    Although I've never finished the walk around the cliffs, that would be the better option to fish, kingies, snapper and big blue moki, be prepared to lose gear though of course.
