Anyone else found that on a good night fishing there is a lot of shooting stars? Shot out last night into a calm clear night within 5 minutes bang I had a stinking red cod on the beach hummm is it going to be one of those nights? Re-bait wade to the top of my gumboots cast out and wait, tap tap bang nice little pannie. Re-bait wade to the top of my gumboots cast out and wait, not long tap tap bang nearly triped over trying to get from my log to my rod, dropped it. Wined in re-bait wade over the top of my gumboots cast out and wait hum have a beer, now getting comfy on my log sipping on a beer thought I saw my other rod move, (maybe not) turn around wow big bend, grab, strike, nod nod yea fish on, bit of a fight but I was running tight drag. As it neared the beach it woke up a bit so I held it just in behind the waves until a little set came in and hualed up on the beach nice snap. Time check 9:15pm bang on high tide. Between now and 10pm I got a Gurnard an eel Next cast I managed to get comfy on my log again sipping on a beer when the rod fear bent over this was a better fish (see attached) 1@ 6lb 1 @12lb
