    Well Gary, the Buller/West Coast Surfcasting Club, of which I am President, Secretary and Treasurer. And sole member. Is holding its annual Competition on the shortest day of the year. Give or take a week or two either side.. So we cannot post the exact date. There is $25,000 up for the biggest Mahi-Mahi weighed in. This Competition has been running for 10 years now, And luckily no prize money has been paid out to date.

    As I know you, I can offer you a " Mates Rate " entry fee. Of only $300.00, which can be paid into my Mahi-Mahi personalised Bank Account.

    This competition is attended by many overseas proffessional Anglers. And this year we have Tiger Woods as our guest Angler. I am sure if you manage to catch and land non target species such as many unweighable Kahawai, the odd Red Cod, next year I may consider your application to be the guest angler. In view of your very ancient NZ Record Catches, which are buried in time. (Unless you remind us of them) which you tend to do from time to time. Your application will be given due diligence.

    I await your entry fee, as my Motor Home needs a Certificate of Fitness and new Rego.

    Accomodation can be arranged. Bring a tent, but not a big one as I have a small lawn. Much as you do.
