    kontiki rules clarification Archived Message

    I finally received a reply from Mfish to my question emailed a week or so back.

    Their reply:
    - No person may use or be in possession of more than one line (so if you head to the beach and you are by yourself you can only set one Kontiki, longline. This excludes handlines and rods.

    - Each person who has an active role in the use of the long line is entitled to 20 fish per day. Active roll meaning assisting with the set, retrieval, taking fish off hooks etc.

    So basically a family group or a bunch of friends can 'share' one longline or kontiki and keep setting it indefinitely as long as they all "assist" in the setting/retrieval etc.

    Well at least until they all have 20 fish for that day.

    They can do the same thing every day.
