Squid need fresh salt water to stay alive. A bucket and aerator is no good. They end up inking the water and dying relativeley quick. There is no practicle solution for land based fishing however your standard boat live bait tank with constant cycle of salt water works perfect and will keep them alive for hours.
If you are really keen and have a good supply, get 2 buckets and a small goldfish net. Put them in one bucket. Every 10 minutes you will need to fill the other bucket with fresh salt water and transfer them over being careful not to over handle. This will keep them alive for a while however you will soon get tired of lugging 20kgs of water up ad down the rocks / beach.
    Best of luck!
