There has been the odd glass since this post but I feel its pretty much over now. In Hawkes Bay at least. Feel sorry for the far nothrn fishers too when their snapper spots start producing some nice gurnard instead of the expected snapper. (if they fish for them). Kahawai have gone nuts in Hawkes Bay just lately. The odd big snapper is still sround and gurnard are making a late run on the northern beaches. Its still a lot of fun for those out trying.
