Roughly about 10 years ago, middle of hot summers January day right on high tide. Weighed in at 11.295kg's which was verified on the HB sport fishing club's scale, still have the cert somewhere. It was a long walk back to Le Quesne road and the car. Good Kingie spot too although I haven't yet targeted them off the mouth, let alone caught one ever, will fix that this coming season. Lots of kahawai here too, and it can be surprising what else can show up at this spot too.
