Had an old surfcaster who I respected tell me once when I was a lot younger that the best fishing during summer was NORTH of Napier after xmas and SOUTH of Napier before xmas.
My experience sort of supports that with exceptions of course. What do you think?The snapper don't know where the car park is! Sometimes it is better to travel than to arrive.
