I thought for a minute that second pic was a spot I've been trying to get to but alas the sand is the wrong colour.

Looks nice is it in NZ?

First one is a trick shot.

The second pic is Herbertville Beach on a neat gurnard day a year ago.

Ive tried herbetvile quite a few times as ive heard the gurnard are a good size but im yet to see one haha... just KY's so whats ya tips for there. looks like the photo was taken in front of the woolshed/ white fence, Ive also tried up by where they launch the boats by cape turnagin and no luck there at all

Seems deepest where we are here by the fence. Could be the reason. Ill dig up a couple more pics of the spot.

most times ive been there, right in front of where ya truck is has always been a nice channel that fishes really well but just doesnt seem to give in with me getting a gurnard out of there haha.

Nice to know others fish there as well tho!

I reckon thats the spot and we have caught gurnard there. Its the only feature in that area. Spooky when a big swell is running as the waves jump up at the last minute.

The way it stays consistent makes me think that it is "the" spot too.

I have seen moki get pulled out down past the rocks where the gravel road starts to climb up the hill and have given that area a crack at dark with mussel and crabs but with no intrest but have seen with my own eyes something else come from there hahaha.
