Kane and Duncan Network for snapper reporting.

The network reported another big snapper caught on a rod this morning.

Apparently 7kgs caught at Whirinaki.

Better get out the soon the biggies are here.

The snapper don't know where the car park is!
Sometimes it is better to travel than to arrive.

Coupla Chunky 2.4kg Kahawais and a red sod. Had a nice pickup on a floating cray bait but the bugger ran some string out and dropped it Tried awatoto with much less swell than whirinaki. Looked good enough for a Snapper and they have been catching that side too. Try tomorrow morning, this northerlys a b###h.

I fished Ferry Road before I came to the meeting on Weds and there were bu**er all crabs there. I was using reasonably short traces on floats and the baits were coming back untouched from 4.30ish to 7.20 when I left. If theres not another snapper caught thereabouts I'd be very surprised.

The Kahawai i caught last night were chocka full of Paddle crab. The big kahawai i caught last week had a Jack mackerel over half the size of the Kahawai itself in it

. Yet they keep on eating, hungry buggers.See what tommorow brings. Heres hoping the weekend weather holds for the Pania Shield.
