Tahaenui! friday night

left for tahaenui at 530pm to find a mil pond nothing but a half foot of swell and no wind to speak of. fishing was very slow till around 8 then it went off with a bang. 4 snapper 2 trev and 5 lemons within 90 minutes! what a great evening.

No problem mate all snapper between 34 - 39 cm threw 2 away 27 an 28. one trev was 3.3 kg. When filleting the trev both fillets had holes in the flesh like something was eating it inside out. cray was bait working last night. beautiful evening never seen it so flat. all fish caught on ledger rigs as well.

Note to you all on the east, I never made it to the HB the other week so new trip ahead, starting to plan now, need to be over before end of Feb so if any of you are keen to throw a line out give me a date to work with, I plan to come over on a thursday night or Fri and stay till Monday.

was the same at whakaki on fri as well 4snaps 1 ky 3 good size smooth hounds and a ray..spent 12hrs there sunday for 2 ky
