Hi all, has anybody had much success in the vicinity of Blacks beach lately? We're tripping up for the Mokotahi comp this weekend and would love to know if many fish are being caught near the car parks. I assume the better catches are towards the Nuhaka bar but the bike's a bit sick so will have to foot it. There's almost allways good guts near the first park but we're sure they will be congested. Any info please?

Yeah walk down from the car park bro, head to the right about 200-300m and fish there. There is plenty of snapper and kahawai with the odd gurnard at the moment, conditions are looking fantastic for it so best of luck, have fun
