Weekend Napier Fishing

Did anyone fish around the Napier beaches with any success this weekend. I fished North Shore til 10pm last night and got plenty of hits but no fish? Did anyone else have any joy?

me and the brother fished Le Quesne road till 9.30 on friday night very slow fishing brother got a 5kg lemon at 8.20ish and i got a 7kg one just b4 9pm, other than that crabs were very busy,

my Thai freinds got a 12kg snapper Awaoto river mouth on Saturday so they are still around

2 KY and a blackbacked gull on Saturday night @ Fanin rd Bayview between 6-8pm. Gull flew into the line and got it wrapped around a wing. Bit of a health hazard trying to extract the bugger too.

Thats a nice fish (12kg snap) what time mate and was it on a rod?

Were'nt too many crabs at NS Road, even at low tide so they must be still around. (or at least lemons). Thats a good fish Kevvy.
