Wedding to attend. I am picking Whakaki will fire this weekend cause we wont be there

had 2 whole seahorses inside its guts. First time ive come across that, but have heard of it once before. The new bait craze???

Pity the hype of thousands of snapper up and down the beaches didnt match reality. Some of the Friday starters had to wait until late Saturday to even see a snapper. Still you cant say there isnt a variety of fish on those beaches. I caught snapper, kahawai, trevally, bronzy, eagle ray over saturday. Lots of sneaky hits that didnt hook up to. Obviously not enough crayfish eh.

So how much is a bag of seahorses at H&F Snappa?

Nothing was interested in my Skipjack at all over the weekend. Pilchards got me baby sharks and kahawai, prawn tails got nothing. Fresh Kahawai strips was the best productive bait for me.

Fresh jack mackeral that i caught on monday nite did well on the Gurnard yesterday. Snapps were inhaling pillies and skippy on Ledger rig. Came home with a bin full of snaps and Gurnards. Yesterday morning 7 to 9pm Naki. Last nite was sh!t too calm. Huge meatballs of anchovies omg was unreal.

Saturday - Afternoon Mid arvo ~
Sunday - Mid morning on
Very Good fishing
Monday - Early Morning, Could be a day for a biggie
