So you are with someone who is excited that you have a nice fish on. To record the moment for posterity, a camera is produced and a record is duly produced for bragging sessions when visitors arrive. I asked how many pictures she had taken? I was somewhat surprised at the answer: one. Well I thought, it must be a pretty spectacular shot if it only required one exposure. The following is unedited, not cropped or colour enhanced, it is that singular magic moment when all things go ... so horribly wrong. Fellow board members, here is an accurate record of a piscatorial moment, I am thinking of having it framed.

I don't mind admitting, that picture has given us some real laughs. When we got home I told her that was the only part of the fish she was allowed to eat. Her reply was unprintable, I didn't understand a single word she said and I can't write in Chinese.

Snap! The snapper don't know where the car park is! Sometimes it is better to travel than to arrive.
