naki fisher,a mate on the beach at the time weighed best at 15 lb,not much be between best 2.all nice fish.bait ocky.time: first bait hit water 1 in arvo last fish out about 5.30 then home on dark.low tide at about 4,fished this area 3 times last six weeks and done ok.perhaps a little better this day with a longer cast thanks to a strong tail wind. te hori great fish tell us a bit more.

YEP FLOAT Naki, painted by self, working well! caught another big snapper next day, but he bit me off in shallows.time arvo tide making. Not sure about being on this surfcasting page, as health not good, can only fish with kontiki.

only fish at foxton beach pal, have not been out since last friday, busy prepare,n ground for 100 mandarin trees i got coming.To bloody cold for me as well.

te-hori, no problems because you fish with a kontiki, Tackle Tactics, the sponsors of this site sell gear for the long-line enthusiast. There are several site members who fish the same method and being on the beach will always be a good day regardless of the catch.

I love surfcasting, I also love it when the family get involved in fishing with a torpedo, great fun and this method has encouraged three of my four grandsons to take up fishing with a rod.

Keep the reports coming.

Will do Hangler,yep i know phil bought my first rod etc from him, has been xtra helpful to me, over the years. I now know very little about fishing! before phils help i knew, ''nowt''
