Hi, just wondering if anybody could give me some advice on which Hawkes Bay beaches are good for catching snapper and gurnard. I live in Havelock and because im trying to save money for Uni next year i cant really afford to drive to far due to petrol prices. My prefered fishing range would be between Bayview and clifton. I usually fish around te awanga but havent had much success so far. Would appreciate any feedback.Cheers
Gurnard: When the sea conditions are flat and clean and the crabs aren't to prolific: From Whirinaki reef to Gill Road when there around Ocean, Waimarama also
Snapper My most consistent spots Whirinaki, East Clive but they show up on pretty much all the beaches including Te Awanga Clifton, particularly around Feb onwards
