I didnt enter the Moki Comp but did join in the hunt just past Phil at Whangamoana. Biggest one of these I have ever caught at 9.52kg. Better luck next year Phil !.

Steve, now that is a fantastic fish mate, well done. That is the biggest one I have ever had the privilege to see a photograph of, thats epic. Awesome

A very desparate elli. Took a small herring bait which had been in the water 20mins. I caught another one of 4.5kg on same night using snall crab bait so maybe a few around with the waters warming up. Was doing close to 120m casts with a small bait. Cheers steve
