Gizzy Surfcasting Spots

Hello all Heading away with the Family in tow to Gizzy for 5 days. Can anyone point me in any locations for a surfcast. Staying at Makarori Beach so the waters at my feet but some pointers of any other easy access spots would be great.

Makorori is a good spot to fish a lot of foul though go for a look at low tide to find gaps opposite the playground at makorori is a good spot there's another spot mid beach with a gap u can see at low tide in the middle of two reefs another one to try is wainui beach opposite the chalet area and the surf club on loyd gorge road Pilly or bonito for bait or the best cray if you have it

Told you Aaron would come thru with the info Shano. Cheers Aaron. Slow at Mohaka eh? . Was a small window south along cliffs on light change, other than that a lot were getting not a lot.

No worries Kane was a unsuccessful fishing trip for me

but ya can't win all the time I guess one good lemon and a kwy at the mouth for me still beats sitting at hme staring at wallpaper

looks like abit of a southerly change coming near the end of the week hope it stirs that sea up seas to flat at the mo been hard work up this way. Points weekend this weekend so could be interesting
