Fresh Water

Hi Gary,freshwater question for you. Getting on in years, not far from gold card time. I was out on the Mohaka Sunday near Riverlands and arsed up a number of times on the slimey rocks,lost phone dignity etc. Are there any wading soles that do as good a job as the old synthetic felt soles? Did you catch anything much Bob? I have just come back from 2 days there, plenty of small fish, but nothing decent, apart from the one my 7 year old son caught.

A man and fish wouldn't get into trouble if they kept their mouth shut.

Yep, many feisty 12" fish and a couple of better nice conditioned smokers. Fish seem to be in the riffles.
The stretch of water downstream from the riverlands bridge works for me.
Am having some soft aluminium cleats fitted to my wading boots,the experts say they are the berries to prevent slipping.

leats are ok but not even close to felts. Biggest mistake They ever made banning them.

The snapper don't know where the car park is!
Sometimes it is better to travel than to arrive.
