Any fish in the BOP?

How was the fishing this weekend?

The snapper don't know where the car park is!
Sometimes it is better to travel than to arrive.

Lots of small ones Gary ,the school snapper have come inshore.Catch 30 ,throw 29 back .Bring lots of bait to feed them.

Around 800 fished the Rotorua Angling and Casting Contest at Otomarakau 57 fish weighed in. Rose Watson from Wairoa won with a snapper around 3kg. Hopefully someone from the club will provide fuller details. Conditions were a bit crap yesterday - lovely day today though probably be great for a fish tonight!

752 valiant soles fished the soupy waters of the bop on sunday. was nice and cool but shitty sea conditions. only 11 snapper weighed in.seems the ladies out fished the men when it came to the snapper catching

well done ladies. I managed to con one of the locals up here in the far north to get me a fresh cray. It did the bisso as I got one of those elussive snappers and took out the heaviest other section with a 6.780kg lemon. Was fun teaching the locals how to fish their waters once again

. I really enjoyed catching up with all me old mates and clubbies again.Was a long trip but worth the effort.
