Yep ,high tide but also best either 2 hours after dark or 2 hours before first light(am). I fish the old Maori way ,2 hours each side of high tide off the ocean beach.If you don't pick up a few on the rising tide they generally come on the bite after the turn of tide. Hope that helps ,like glass up there right now too.
