Fishing the dirt

What experiences have members had when fishing during times of extreme freshwater influence with flooded rivers? I tend to back off from the rivers myself but I dont let the dirty water worry me too much as it will probably be floating on the salt water and really just add nice cover for hunting fish. Kingfish love hanging out on the edge of dirty water influxes. Any particular species get easier for you.
If you want to test any theories come to HB now we have plenty of fresh in our salt.

Never had much luck in the dirty stuff Gary. Good for big congers. But I suspect a few good fish caught this weekend.

Might just be my imagination or the time of the year but I'm sure our old friend the red cod like dirty water.

I've found big rigs like to hang around when you have a nice prawn baits in the water any time of the day too
