Went out by the fert works early this morning for a couple of hours with my new rod (veritas- don't ask about the old one) The rod is great and is the best I have ever had- usually have used home made or combo stuff. Going to sleep with it tonight. Cast 1 produced a K for the smoker as did cast 5. I need to tidy up a couple of things like shock leader material - might get a couple of those fancy ones - someone undid the knot this morning and I suspect someone off the trawlers operating not far away grrrraaa- lovely morning and as I was leaving noticed something differant along the edge- it was a seal feeding -never seen that before??

That's great that you enjoyed your new rod and blooded it first time out. The new Veritas has set a very bench mark for the rest .
