Hi, I,m about to re spool my reels with new nylon,in the past i,ve used Black Magic Premier supple but am thinking about changing to something different.What brand of nylon do some of you prefer to use.Cheers.

There are several really good nylon brands available on the market and they are obtainable from Tackle Tactics. Phill has an excellent selection.

One line I do wish a wholesaler would import is Amnesia, as you can tell by the name it has no memory whatsoever. If you get a curl, simply run the line between your fingers and it is straight once more. This is the trace line most of the top European match anglers use, a little expensive but well worth the extra.

Amnesia is avail in NZ

Hi Scott. What is the problem with the black magic supple. I have used it for years. I used 10kg .38 mainline with 15kg shock. It casts well for me and has been super reliable on knot strength.

Trilene Sensation for me for surfcasting. Bright Orange or clear. I like orange. This is one tough line. Phill has it in stock.

12lb most of the time and 17lb in the spring and in rocky waters.

Hey GaryK what oz sinker do you use on the okuma predator? (sorry to stray off topic but I have been wondering this for a while)
I use 3 oz but thinking of going heavier...

I have a 14' Predator and I wouldn't go any heavier than 4oz's if you are putting any power into your cast.
