Not that I particularly wanted this YEM but something else wanted it before I could beach it.. A cuda or a shark perhaps. Next bait out was taken straight away and whatever it was took off. I thought it was a ray at first but then it bit cleanly through my 60lb flurocarbon trace Two-nil to the biteys...

A few couttas caught at Awatoto tonight. WE struggled our way through a plauge of baby kahawai again today. Maybe the morning with flatter seas will treat us better. The snapper don't know where the car park is! Sometimes it is better to travel than to arrive.
