mental hours

well went out in the bay this afternoon and managed to catch my very first snapper on a surfcasting rod nice 2.5kg .wat happened next blew my mind . next cast a p b travelly 3.1kg .next cast a 3.2kg snapper and finally last cast a just under 2kg snapper. while fending off lemons on the other rod .was really a mental few hours of fishing in the bay . will post sum pics soon .

Thats very good for round here. Wouldn't call it mental though. Positive thinking more like it.

best few hours I've had in Napier fishing for a very long time ,

Its a good little haul. Beats Tope and stingrays thats for sure.

Heres another one snatched from the jaws of the commercial fishing thieves. Makes it even more enjoyable

Pania Surfcasting club didnt weigh any in this weekendI believe, although one good Trev was caught some where. Thats a very good haul on your part.

HBFisher, please accept a well earned compliment. It is rare for someone to share the spot they have enjoyed so much success and especially be so specific in the location.

You will not find me in your spot, I have my own favourite place and this is well known from the videos I post.
