We I thought it might be nice for folks to post their best bragging pic during the last year. It takes no guessing to know what you all have proudly displayed on your computer screensaver LOL. I will kick it off with this 18.5kg lemon (my biggest) I caught last year while fishing with my cousin on holiday at Birdlings Flat south of Christchurch. We landed 6 of these beasts all over 10kg !

I was guiding this young lady on her first ever outing with a fly rod. She took this fish on her third cast - a beautiful wild rainbow of 12lbs.

I told her most trout anglers would fish a for a lifetime and never catch a trout as large as that, if she wished to keep it I would fully understand.

She told me it was far too pretty to kill, then returned it to the water.

I have caught several trout that have been bigger, the largest a little over sixteen pounds, but my achievement was never as great as that of young Sally.

Wow ! That is one awesome kingy. Must have put up a big fight. I have never landed one from the beach bit hope that will change when i move to Auckland shortly.

Well done Jackie on your first rig which weighed in at just over 18lbs and under the watchfull eye of her mentor David Brooks. Fishing with her new rod, which was supplied by tackle tactics. Her husband only managed to land a 16lb rig so i know who will be bragging in this household

My wife Eileen caught this 28 1/4lb rig. this her second fish caught while surf casting here on the westcoast of the south Island

My best snapper to date. 8kg was caught on the high tide on great exibition bay, occy was the bait.

I wasnt inferring that you had done anything too it. Just saying that it was a real trophy and that it was such a good pic that it deserved to be enlarged, framed and put up for all to enjoy.

Very impressive snapsnap. Great photo, I reckon u should send that one into the nz fishing news with a story attached. I reckon they would publish it especially if u were using black magic hooks lol.
