Nice evening out

Had a few hours at town reef Sunday afternoon, was all in from the first bait first 5 basis hit and didn't stick but after dark was red cod galore every bait red cod. Only around 20-30cm not big enough to get a feed but a very enjoyable evening with beautiful seas

Yeah kinda me and a mate with 4 rods out nice fish mate

yea you are in a good area . those fish were taken at a 3 am session very stupidly short cast .on a tackle tactics siding ledger muscle bait

I still have trouble (after catching a hundred moki at this spot)believing how close to shore you need your bait. I still toss the odd bait further out because it feels right but those moki are generally close. I have had them with their backs out of the water when in the berley.

The snapper don't know where the car park is!
Sometimes it is better to travel than to arrive.

The only big moki I have taken from this spot was with a cast about 40 meters out. I only seem to catch smaller ones right in close at the town reef, but the small ones seem to be there in numbers when conditions are right.
