I am not a fan of distance casting but I do find this clip interesting. When fishing a beach with other anglers or the public are in close proximity, the pendulum cast can be downright dangerous. However, take a look at this: Very simple, little effort, but it loads the rod exactly as it should be and distance will come naturally. An ideal cast for anglers new to the sport.
