Seat Box

Does anyone on this site know where I can source a Seat Box. Breakaway, Shakespeare etc make them. They are very common in the UK and Europe but can't seem to find any in this part of the world. I've seen some customised ones on YouTube and they look like a great setup for beach fishing. I've tried contacting a couple of UK based retailers but getting a response is proving difficult. Cheers

Dodd, have at look at this thread I posted a while ago, it has all the information you require. I have now been using the seat that is shown for quite some time. I assure you it is bloody marvelous and holds everything I require including my video equipment. The two boxes are available from Mitre 10 Mega.

Hi Hangler. I'd forgotten about that post, cheers. I think DIY is the best route to take so I'll look for a suitable box this week.

High ABU Man, both the main box and the tray that fits perfectly inside were purchased from Mitre 10 Mega in Hastings.

I will be going into town later this morning I will see if they still have them in stock and let you know on this site. If they do, and you live locally, drop me a PM and you are very welcome to come and see how I have set the unit up, I live in Hastings.

I hoped the idea would work well, in fact it exceeded all my expectations. Fully waterproof, room for just about everything, including all my video recording equipment very easy to carry and best of all a comfortable seat.

ABU Man, I have visited Mitre 10 Mega and they still have the large box, this retails at $39.99. However, the local shop has sold out of the internal box, the part with all the individual components. I don't really see this as a problem, it would be easy enough to adapt any like sized box to fit.

If you have a spare 15 minutes, watch this YouTube clip and you will get an idea of how much the box holds, it shows the tackle container in the top and also a few other tips.
