Great day yesterday at Porangahau for the second Porangahau fishing club surfcasting contest. Kahawai were "fish of the day" with thirty weighed in and probably more than that released. Heaviest was over 2.8kgs, the top five fish were over 2 kgs.
They had a casting comp as well which was great fun.

Thanks for a great day in the sun with plenty of fish.

The snapper don't know where the car park is!
Sometimes it is better to travel than to arrive.

20 gurnard and five snapper over 20lb, Nah just one small ray.
