New long cast combo

Hi team
Been out off the game for a few years now and looking to get a new long cast combo was wondering what's everyone's throughts was running kilwell slx 14.6 with Mitchell reels but want a more long cast reel rods are good but ten years old so thinking old technology any suggestions helpful cheers

Cheers Gary that's was the plan to call in there was after others options aswell and money needed

I use a 14'6" abu veritas with low rider guides and I either use it with an overhead reel(if the wind is not too strong) If I am running a spin reel it is either my shimano ultegra or the okuma trio rex arena.
