Won't be there either, quite frankly don't need the comments that have been made about me on social media, one by some individual I've personally have never met. Rather be in the garden.

Dont let people get you down. Keep your powder dry and do your own thing. I have had people laughing at my casting for twenty years and still I really enjoy walking out to the board and letting one fly. I have never cast 200m but I have cast 200yds. I enjoy trying to reach my earlier achievements and the fun of trying new rods along the way. I have a CTS custom pendulum rod and a 14 and 15 foot Anyfish Anywhere-Southern Series rods that I am learning at the moment. When I get time I am going to get out casting with an overhead. I use them fishing but havent given it a go on the casting court yet. So much to do and so little time. Some wont cast unless the day is sanctioned by NZACA. Scared that they make the cast of a lifetime and not get it recognised. I say just get out and do as much as you want. Beach casting is OK but nothing really matches that moment when you draw in a big breath and step up to the casting board. To hell with the hecklers. The snapper don't know where the car park is! Thanks Gary, this weekend though my reels are still in the UK and rods yet to arrive, planning on a Gurnard trip the day before east of Opotiki to see if a beach produces in day time during the winter.
