Just in from doing the lawns. And while that has nothing to do with fishing it is a time to reflect and one thing I did reflect on was the efforts being made by Jim Yeoman to try and bring back the Hawke's Bay to how I remember it 10 years ago. At the weekend while the rest of us relaxed Jim was in Auckland at a meeting with Legasea in regards the state of NZs inshore fisheries and while I will this week add to my financial contribution to Legasea it is a drop in the ocean for the work Jim does, at his own cost and his own time. So while the media will probably focus on others who are in the limelight in terms of awards perhaps the recreational fishing industry could do the same along with others who look to try and keep those less honest than ourselves somewhat honest and show recreational anglers do matter, after all if the USA with all its problems can, why not here? well done Jim Yeoman.

Yes, to all of the above. And if, like some of us you do contribute regularly to legasea (or even if you dont) they do have some awesome clothing for sale on their website - buy some and help the cause.. http://www.paniasurfcasting.org http://www.surfcaster.co.nz

Already decked out. Their Hoody is one of the warmest I own. The snapper don't know where the car park is! Sometimes it is better to travel than to arrive.
