Nice looking reel TC did you convert it your self ? This is what I use for casting 2 to 4oz sinkers - Penn 975cs the only thing Ive done is taken the bush out of the end cap and replaced it with a 1/8 X 3/8 X 5/32" bearing and home made casting break blocks. Rgds

No it was sent to Russ at Blakdog tackle who contracted out to a machine shop for the new CT cross bar. Reel was in a sad sight having been in bits for some 20 years but Russ did a great job, sourcing replacement parts along with a complete service. Ultima .33 Distance line goes on the reel today and cast with it in a couple of weeks. The 975 is a great reel, owned one myself but sold it as it really never got to be used.
