Raymond Cox who just recently joined our club was to say the least over the moon to win, well done. Larry Living from papamoa beach surfcasting club smashed his monkey after 3 years of trying, was also bouncing off the walls. Grant Dodunski and Vijay Raj from the western bay club deserved their wins fishing in hard conditions. Darran Adam and Wayne Owen from the Papamoa Club couldnt stop smiling after receiving their prizes. Mike Dowden proved once again he has a unique ability to pull fish out right next to those that only managed to drag in weed and Ky's. Brad Hill from Hamill's in Rotorua and a member of the Rotorua club waded into the night and was rewarded with three fine winning fish. Then there was Neil Mackay from the Wellington Club who teamed up with Muzz Rush , they had a great time on the night and Neil showed that the conditions were just a picnic day really compared to Welly on a good day and was rewarded with a very nice fish and took home a very nice prize package. Graeme Newlands drank beer this year on the beach and managed to catch and land a winning fish also. Just goes to show sometimes the relaxing fluid does help. Team results show it was very close. Hey! Marty and I didnt get a mention as members of the winning team! The snapper don't know where the car park is! Sometimes it is better to travel than to arrive.

Hey I supplied the bait that caught three of our fish and I worked hard as a weed blocker for as while! The snapper don't know where the car park is! Sometimes it is better to travel than to arrive.
