Cought this yesterday. Had a 'screwy' looking tail section. Looked perfectly healthy otherwise. Released it again Born to fish. Forced to work.

Congratulations upon your securing a specimen of Mustelus spiralem caudatus, (spiral tailed dogfish) This species has evolved with the unusual looking tail section that acts to provide extra propulsion. Most often found in areas of strong ocean currents such as French Pass.Men and fish are alike. They both get into trouble when they open their mouths.
