I've noticed that there are some very "recurve"circle hooks on the market. Has anyone had any issues with them not releasing from the clip down long cast rigs?

None at all using the various Gemini systems such as the "splashdown". They all have a way to actually eject the hook and with the new red ones suit the larger circle hooks.
