Anyone know what the weed (in the sea) situation is down the coast from Makatu to Whakatane. I know it’s difficult at Papamoa, and it was up Bowentown/Waihi last week. Thinking of a few days at Otamarakau or Thornton but I don’t want to waste brownie points on unfishable water.

Gidday Druid, I fished Friday & Saturday down Papamoa Beach and the weed wasn't a problem. I haven't heard if it has come since. Cheers.
