Where in the Manawatu besides Manfield Park (which looks like it’s completely OOB and being carved up for motels etc) is there parks or farm paddocks available for some dry land casting practice??? Mr Kettle,or anybody on this site, know of any farmers that may have a paddock or three that need de worming?? Geno.... how about your front lawn? I know your a huge fan of distance casting. With more meetings coming up with the NZACA and NZ Federation, one needs to practice. Any suggestions are welcome. Cheers B.Bum
It takes me 2hrs on the ride-on to mow my front lawn to attain wedding party photographic perfection and I won't entertain any thoughts of allowing beer- swilling pie-eating grassgrub-slaying yobs punching holes in the ground!! I'm not afraid of you lot... but I'm terrified of my mrs!!!***********************************************************************************

Beachbum, Have you tried your nearest Racecourse. Some allow you to practice casting after the horses have cleared the course for the day or they might allocate an area for you to use safely.
