I thought about doing it just in one day but that would be an ordeal. And I'd have to travel in my suit.
So I'm going to arrive the day before and stay in a hotel for a night and then fly back afterwards. It will give me a chance to find the place beforehand and walk around. I think I know where this place is anyway. It's in the city centre along the river.
Had to get a hotel then. This shitty hostel that I stayed at is right near there but I don't want to do that. So I had to spend £115 for a hotel. The flight was like £115 too. So this is costing money but I can swing it. The hotel is like a 30 minute walk to the place and it's also along the river so easy journey.
The hotel has wifi so that should solve a lot of problems. Is the voltage the same? Yeah, I guess so. That's great then.
The only slight issue that I can see is that check in time is 3.00 pm (which seems really late to me) but the flight arrives at 8.00. Figure the taxi journey is an hour. That's another expense, by the way. That's a lot of waiting around. But it gives me a chance to walk around and I'll only have a small bag with my suit and shoes in it. Maybe some crisps or something. Bottle of water. Can get a hot chocolate when I get bored of walking.
See how it goes then.
As for the job, it should be a mere formality. That's how it goes in the exciting world of whatever because there's so few people doing the job. There really aren't interviews to speak of. In my experience, there's usually literally no interview.
But have to factor in my awkward nature. I mean, I'll do my best to be cheery and look like I'll fit in and be fun and whatnot but I can only do so much. If it doesn't work out, I can always go to Finland. Over there, if you're NOT quiet and awkward you won't get the job. They're suspicious of "bubbly" types and rightfully so.
