The romantic comedy thing just reminded me of Jennifer Aniston's woeful post-Friends career which in turn reminded me of her Friends career when she was so popular that her hairstyle was being adopted by women across the US, which then reminded me of some fat chick from my school who got the haircut. The other girls were complimenting her (in a clearly awkward fashion because it looked stupid and clearly a Jennifer Aniston haircut) and she kept downplaying it saying that they didn't cut it the way she wanted.
I wonder what that fat chick is up to these days. She was also part of the "class couple" in our senior yearbook. Traditionally, this is for the most beloved two students in a romantic relationship but for our year, we chose a student and a middle-aged possibly married teacher. Because why not? This was back when teacher/student sex wasn't so taboo. 1996.
Let's see if she's on Facebook. Well...she has a very unusual name and no Google hits. Let me check her friends from high school and maybe she's on their friend list as a different name. Nothing so far.
This is weird. Her brother, who shares her odd name, is only on Google for his grandfather's obituary. So the name is right. But he never joined Facebook or anything? He was a few years younger than us.
They also used a hyphenated name which is really unusual. I've been looking for the shorter, non-hyphenated name. But nothing fruitful for this hyphenated name.
Aw wait a minute. One of her friends from high school has to be a lesbian. All tatted up and no pictures of men or children.
But here's the crazy part. I remember her working as a teacher because she posted a picture a couple years ago at a picket holding a sign that misused quotation marks. But now I see that a year ago she started work at a barbeque restaurant. Maybe she was fired from the teaching as retribution for the industrial action.
She doesn't mention the transition anywhere. It's mostly pictures of her unfinished (I think) sleeve tattoo and her boobs. She has pretty big boobs, I concede, but the face is less impressive. But the comments are always "you're hot!" and so forth by other women. You see this a lot. Disingenuous women trying to build each other up by complimenting their appearance. There's more to life, you know. And be honest, they aren't attractive.
Yeah, I don't know. One day she's a teacher, the next she's working in a restaurant in Chicago. No explanation.
So...back to this fat chick. I don't know. Maybe she married this teacher, took his name, and the family are so ashamed by this that they changed their names as well.
What else? Oh yeah. Pretty good complaint letter response recently. Here's my complaint:
Hello. At 10.00 am, Sunday, 23 August, I went to West Croydon to collect some Virgin FastTickets. The woman at the window (black, 20s or 30s) behaved like I was bothering her and directed me to the machine. The station was basically empty, no other customers, and a rail replacement bus service was running. So she wasn't busy.
Could you tell me if West Croydon has the facilities which allow staff to print these tickets? I went to East Croydon two weeks earlier and their window staff were able to do it no problem. So either you don't have these facilities or she just didn't want to do even the smallest of tasks.
That pretty much explains what happened. Some lazy b###h didn't want to do any work at all. So they replied:
Thank you for contacting London Overground.
Please accept my sincere apologies for the staff behaviour at West Croydon station on 23/08/2015.
I can confirm that West Croydon station is fully equipped to provide you with Virgin tickets or any other National Rail ticket you require.
I was very concerned after reading your comments that the staff member in question did not perform her duties in a way we would normally expect, the only reason a staff member would not be able to assist you with a ticket purchase is if the member of staff was conducting a cash audit in which case the staff member should inform you in a polite and courteous manner that the ticket office will be unavailable for a short duration.
Please be assured that we take these comments very seriously and improve our service as a direct result of customer feedback such as yours, I have informed the manager responsible for West Croydon and the relevant action and retraining will now take place. We expect all staff to conduct their duties in a polite, courteous and pro active manner and are expected to provide the up most level of customer service at all times.
Again I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience caused to you and if there is anything else I can do for you please do not hesitate to contact me.
So yeah, great. I hope she gets fired. I don't normally hold such views but some of these train staff are really terrible. If you don't like working with the public, I get it. But then you have to find a job where you don't work with the public. It's that simple.
My complaint against my energy company is also going great. They sent me a summary of my case which makes for hilarious reading but I won't post it here as the case is ongoing.
