500 grams of minced beef
2 slices of bread, blended to make bread crumbs / 8 cream crackers crushed to make cracker crumbs
1 clove of garlic
1 table spoon of worcestershire sauce
1 egg
Some salt
Put the minced beef, cracker / bread crumbs, beaten egg, crushed clove of garlic, some salt, the worcestershire sauce and the beaten egg into a large bowl. With your hands, knead it all together until it's a regular consistency. It'll only take 5 minutes at the most.
Then make burger shaped patties out of it. How big you want them is up to you. Quarter-pounders, Half-pounders, whatever.
Ideally, you should then put the burger shapes in the fridge for half an hour to set, but it's not essential.
Once they are set, grill or fry them until thoroughly cooked. Again, it won't take longer than 5-10 minutes.
Serve in bread buns, with cheese slices and salad (or not, it's up to you).
I would say the most important ingredient here is the crushed clove of garlic. It's what gives them the taste. You could also add some grated onion, I guess.
But they're really nice, and very easy to make.
