I was thinking about a car I had as a child. It was a police car. Came from Finland. I don't know how I got it but it was from Finland because it said "Polis" on the hood. Perhaps my grandfather gave it to me when I was too young to remember.

I played with it. I wasn't a huge car kid but I played with cars. I had a lot of Hot Wheels cars. This polis car was considerably bigger than those. I didn't really have many cars of the same scale but I still played with it.

I was getting older. I was maybe 12 or 13. Not playing with cars so much any more. But my sister babysat for a neighbour boy who was about 6 maybe. He enjoyed this Polis car. Or at least he was playing with it once or twice.

I remember this kid's racist mother once suggested that if you put an "H" at the end it's "Polish". And that was a bad thing because Polish people are unintelligent. The irony is that this woman was supremely unintelligent.

So the kid's playing with it one evening and his father comes to pick him up. He has a white thing hanging from his nose, probably part of a tissue. He's talking to my mother and she keeps trying to end the conversation and get him to go home. So this kid comes to the door and he still has the car in his hands. He's leaving and I say, "That's my car." My mother says, "No, that's okay. He can have it" and the father says, "Are you sure?" and my mother says, "Yes, he can have it" and she scurries him away with the car.

My mother closes the door and she and my sister roar with laughter for at least 10 minutes because this guy had a piece of tissue on his nose. Then my mother recreates the moment I asked for my car back and her saying, "No, he can have it" and they really find this hilarious.

That kid's mother probably threw that car away within a week. I had it for at least 10 years and there's no reason why I wouldn't still have it today. I didn't give stuff away and I took care of my things.

This is how little they thought of me. This is the contempt that my mother had for her own child. She preferred a neighbour boy to her own son. A neighbour boy who's a fat ass trucker in Texas now. A guy who never set foot in university. A guy who's in a relationship with a woman with a son who's literally an obese retard.

I couldn't imagine it. Where did this hate come from? I was the most well-behaved kid on earth. It's nothing that I did. She's just a hugely fucked up individual.
